JASMIN PORTAZ
Jasmin Portaz, M.A., LPC, ATR-P (she/her)
Psychotherapist
Jasmin believes we all have the power, the right, and the ability to be the narrators of our own stories. She knows that true growth can transpire when we understand that one’s story is not done being written and actively choose to take control of its direction.
As a lifelong poet, Jasmin has always understood the power of identifying, expressing, and releasing one’s emotions. Fascinated by the intersection of art and healing, Jasmin obtained a dual degree from Adler University in Counseling and Art Therapy. She utilizes a variety of tools in her sessions, including writing, different mediums of art, somatic experiencing, and talk therapies.
Working from a trauma-informed, inclusive framework, Jasmin works with clients across the lifespan, those who identify themselves as LGBTQ+, those who are exploring identity, and those from a multitude of diverse backgrounds. Her specialties include trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief, gender identity, and family dynamics. Jasmin also believes in the power of group therapy and uses her unique skills as a former poetry teacher to lead impactful workshops, where participants expand their understanding and transform their narrative through a supportive and nurturing environment of shared healing.
