OLIVIA JOHNSON
Olivia Johnson, M.A., LPC, NCC (she/her)
Training Coordinator, Employee and Student Enrichment & Psychotherapist
Olivia believes that therapy is a space for us to show up as we are, and be met with warmth, consideration, and trust. We are each a mosaic of lived experiences that create a larger picture of who we are and how we exist in the world. With this in mind, Olivia focuses on collaborating with each person to discover what is uniquely meaningful, useful, and healing for them.
Olivia is dedicated to creating supportive, yet empowering relationships that allow clients to “choose their own (therapeutic) adventure.” She values a strength-based, empathetic, playful, and non-judgmental approach to therapy. Though not limited to these areas, Olivia’s clinical work often focuses on self-efficacy and self-esteem, identity exploration, leisure and play, life transitions, personal values, relational concerns, anxiety, and mood disorders. She especially has experience working with clients who identify as people pleasers. Olivia enjoys collaborating with all ages, but most often works with adolescents and adults.
Olivia strives for cultural humility in all spaces and is committed to strengthening these skills throughout her life. Olivia is LGBTQIA+ affirming and seeks to provide a safe space for all people. She welcomes those who are well-seasoned to the therapeutic process, brand new to it, or somewhere in between. She hopes that therapy can be a moment to connect, share, and explore.
