By empowering clients to rewrite their own narratives, Paulina encourages them to take charge of their life stories and create the changes they want to see. Using a collaborative, individualized approach, she strives to promote a warm, supportive, growth-oriented therapeutic environment while celebrating multicultural diversity and intersecting identities. She believes that therapy can aid individuals in achieving a greater sense of inner harmony and healing by providing guidance, insight, and understanding.
Paulina’s therapeutic style is integrative and strength-based, drawing tools and techniques from Trauma Informed-CBT, DBT, Narrative Therapy, Person-Centered, and Liberation Psychology. She has experience working with individuals of all age ranges and specializes in LGBTQIA+ affirming care, identity exploration, complex trauma & PTSD, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and self-harm. In session, Paulina aims to create a safe space for clients to explore and challenge areas of control, limitation, and incongruence in their lives which do not align with their ideal self.
The journey to overcoming trauma and challenging life circumstances begins with self-acceptance and the courage to reach out for support. Paulina is passionate about helping others reach self-actualization by emphasizing a holistic view of the individual and recognizing the uniqueness of each person’s lived experiences.
