SARAH VASSILEFF

Sarah Vassileff, M.A., LCPC (she/her)

Training Director, Trauma Track & Clinical Supervisor & Psychotherapist

Sarah believes that healing happens in safe connection and relationship to others, as well as by moving into safe connection within yourselves, which lives at the heart of Sarah’s practice. Her primary goal is for you to achieve a sense of alignment, internal safety, and a strong sense of self-concept as you move through your healing journey. She believes that healing happens through experiencing the breadth and depth of your emotions, in which you will learn to hold space for the innermost depths within yourself. Embracing your complexity as a human and working toward connection and embodiment is at the forefront of Sarah’s approach.

Sarah specializes in the healing of complex trauma and complex dissociation, alongside grief, anxiety, depression, personality disorders, relational conflict, perfectionism, and identity development within adults. She utilizes an eclectic approach rooted in psychodynamic practice, which fuses together the tri-phasic trauma treatment model, with ego state therapy, polyvagal approaches, EMDR, and humanistic theory. Together, you will focus on increasing safety in the body, emotional connection and regulation, re-processing maladaptive narratives, working toward emotional integration, and working with the wounded parts within yourselves in aim of greater wellbeing, embodiment, and self-empowerment.

Sarah believes in inclusiveness and is passionate about working with diverse adult populations and challenges throughout the lifespan. Sarah practices from a culturally competent and integrative perspective. She is also bilingual and is professionally proficient in Bulgarian.
