XOE WISE

Xoe Wise, A.M., LSW (she/her)

Psychotherapist

As a queer, creative, and trauma responsive therapist, Xoe is passionate about nurturing an affirming space for LGBTQIA+ adults and youth, artists, and cnm clients where you can experience therapy as a brave space to continue exploring identity, sex, imagination, relationships, and everyday life. Trauma influences the body and brain in complex ways, and therefore sometimes in therapy we need to talk, and sometimes to pause, move, or create. As a musician, and with music therapy training, Xoe understands the regulatory power of art and invites you to integrate expressive elements. She also offers music-centered and songwriting focused sessions.

Xoe believes trusting relationships, creativity, and community are at the heart of inner peace. She is informed by internal family systems, attachment theory, psychodynamic approach, and embraces the relational elements of healing. Xoe offers you a compassionate, empathetic, playful, and non-judgmental space.

She approaches therapeutic work through an anti-oppressive lens that is integrative, client centered, present moment, and social justice oriented. Recognizing the way trauma affects the nervous system, we can work together to be mindful of somatic and body centered approaches. Xoe hopes therapy can be a moment for you to relate, regulate, and create.
