XOE WISE
Xoe Wise, A.M., LSW (she/her)
Psychotherapist
Xoe believes that trusting relationships, community, and creativity are at the heart of inner peace. She offers a compassionate, empathetic, playful, and non-judgmental space to clients. She understands the complex ways that trauma influences all parts of life, body, and the brain and notices that sometimes in therapy we need to talk, and sometimes we need to create. Informed by attachment theory, and psychodynamic approaches, she embraces the relational element to healing through togetherness.
Xoe enjoys working with all ages. Her work with youth centers a trauma informed lens. As a musician herself, and with music therapy training, she understands the regulatory power of music and invites integrating creative arts techniques such as songwriting and recording. Xoe works with individuals, families, and relationships. She is passionate about nurturing an affirming space for LGBTQIA+ clients where they can experience therapy as a safe space to continue exploring identity, relationships, family structure, and everyday life.
She strives to approach therapeutic work through an anti-oppressive lens. She is harm reductive, client centered, youth empowerment, and social justice oriented. Recognizing the way trauma affects the nervous system, she is mindful of somatic approaches. She hopes that therapy can be a moment to relate, regulate, and create.
